Silverstrand
I've FINISHED the novel! It's now called Silverstrand and is 517 pages long. 517 pages of angst, sweat, and despair. Now let's hope my agent can sell it to someone who has a penchant for psychological thrillers with a ghost or two thrown in....
Now I'm in that strange POST-novel writing phase, where I wander about not sure what to do next, with a head full of people who aren't real and an overwhelming desire to celebrate wildly - but no-one else would understand what the celebration was all about. It's so hard to explain how intense a process writing is, particularly something this complicated. I've got to the stage now where I could tell you what all my characters had for breakfast, what music they like, what their bedrooms look like, even what kind of underwear they own! It really is a weird, intimate thing, being embroiled in the lives of people who have been conjured up out of your own head.
So excuse me if I spend a few days being totally insane while I recover...
